
WHY CHOOSE THE FEVI STATION
The FEVI station is a transportable system for carrying out professional dry ice cleaning operations directly at the customer's premises, in the workshop, on the factory floor, or on site, without having to have a pre-installed compressed air network.
The configuration combines the SUBLIMA BASE with the TTS 34110/900 petrol compressor, the FEVI DRY 60 refrigeration dryer, a condensate separator and 50 metres of connection piping .
It is therefore not a simple combination of a machine and a compressor: air production and treatment are configured to correctly feed the cryogenic system.
The SUBLIMA BASE uses 1.5 to 3 mm dry ice pellets, works from 2 to 10 bar and requires an air flow rate between 250 and 900 l/min .
The TTS 34110/900 compressor provides up to 900 l/min, while the FEVI DRY 60 dries the air before it enters the machine.
The result is a station designed for those who need to bring cryogenic cleaning services where they are needed.

The petrol-driven air compressor makes it possible to supply the compressed air required by the SUBLIMA BASE even when a suitable compressed air system is not available at the work site.
The station is particularly suitable when:
- the interventions are carried out directly at the customer's premises;
- there is no adequate compressed air network available;
- the system needs to be moved frequently between different sites;
- an air flow rate of up to approximately 900 l/min is required;
- it is necessary to feed the SUBLIMA with dried air;
- interventions require greater continuity than a SUBLIMA MINI configuration;
It is useful to keep the air production group away from the treatment area.
AUTONOMOUS IN THE PRODUCTION OF COMPRESSED AIR
The petrol-powered compressor allows the station to autonomously produce the compressed air needed by the SUBLIMA BASE.
It is important, however, to distinguish this concept from complete energy independence.
The FEVI DRY 60 requires a single-phase 230 V power supply.
If no electricity is available at the site of operation, a suitable power source for the dryer must be provided.
WHEN IS THE SUBLIMA MINI SYSTEM + COMPRESSOR ENOUGH?
The portable system with SUBLIMA MINI and single-phase compressor is more suitable when interventions are short and localized and the priority is to minimize weight and size.
The station with SUBLIMA BASE offers instead:
- greater autonomy;
- superior operational capacity;
- up to 900 l/min of air;
- autonomous air production via motor compressor;
- dedicated drying with FEVI DRY 60;
- possibility of working up to 50 meters from the air unit.

WHEN YOU NEED A HIGHER CAPACITY STATION
SUBLIMA BASE requires up to 900 l/min, a value consistent with the nominal flow rate of the TTS 34110/900 compressor.
For applications requiring SUBLIMA MAX, TOP or ULTRA, the following must be re-evaluated:
- compressed air production;
- treatment and drying;
- diameter of the pipes;
- operating pressure;
- required productivity.
For example, the SUBLIMA MAX can require up to approximately 1,500 l/min and could therefore not exploit the entire operating range with a 900 l/min compressor.

During compression, the humidity contained in the air tends to turn into condensation.
The FEVI DRY 60 reduces this humidity before the air reaches the SUBLIMA BASE, contributing to the regularity of the process and limiting the problems that excessively humid air could generate in the presence of the low temperatures of the dry ice.
The principle of the station can be summarized as follows:
TTS 34110/900 → condensate separator → FEVI DRY 60 → SUBLIMA BASE
Each component therefore performs a specific function:
the compressor produces the air
the separator eliminates some of the condensation
DRY 60 dries the air
The SUBLIMA BASE uses treated air to accelerate dry ice
The station includes 50 meters of connecting piping, allowing the compressor and air treatment unit to be kept away from the actual work area.
This configuration is especially useful in:

- areas where the compressor cannot be placed close to the point to be treated.
For connections of this length it is important to use a correctly sized pipe to contain pressure losses and guarantee the SUBLIMA BASE the necessary flow rate and pressure.
The solid CO₂ pellets are accelerated by compressed air and projected onto the residue to be removed.
The action combines cooling, impact and sublimation of CO₂, promoting the detachment of the contaminant from the surface.
Dry ice passes directly from the solid to the gaseous state and therefore:
- does not introduce water into the process;
- does not generate exhausted abrasive to collect;
- reduces the amount of secondary material produced by the treatment.
However, the material removed from the surface remains and must be vacuumed or collected when necessary.
The result always depends on the material, contaminant, pressure, air flow rate, nozzle, distance and exposure time.
