• the required productivity does not require high air flow rates.

WHEN TO PREFER A LARGER COMPRESSOR

If the process requires greater continuity, higher pressures or a larger quantity of dry ice, the SUBLIMA MINI must be supplied with a higher air flow.

In fact, the 2026 technical data sheet indicates a requirement for the machine of between 250 and 500 l/min.

A compressor with a higher air output therefore allows you to exploit a wider operating range of the SUBLIMA MINI and may be preferable for more demanding jobs.

WHEN TO PREFER SUBLIMA BASE

SUBLIMA BASE is more suitable when the duration of interventions, required autonomy and treatment capacity increase.

MINI prioritizes compactness and mobility.

BASE, on the other hand, has greater autonomy and can work with air flows of up to approximately 900 l/min, making it more suitable for more continuous professional use.

In summary:

SUBLIMA MINI + superior compressor → wider operating range

SUBLIMA BASE → greater autonomy and continuity of use

The system prioritizes mobility and space saving.

The single-phase compressor avoids the need for a large fixed pneumatic system and allows the entire setup to be moved more easily.

The availability of compressed air remains the main parameter that determines the actual capacity of the SUBLIMA MINI.

For more demanding jobs or when it is necessary to use higher pressures and flow rates, it is advisable to combine the machine with a compressor with a higher air output.

The solid CO₂ pellets are accelerated by compressed air and projected onto the material to be removed.

The action combines cooling, impact and sublimation of the dry ice, promoting the detachment of grease, sludge and other surface residues.

Dry ice passes directly from the solid to the gaseous state and therefore:

• does not introduce water into the process;
• leaves no spent abrasive;
• reduces the amount of secondary material to be collected.

However, the contaminant removed from the surface remains and must be vacuumed or collected when necessary.

Does the system require electricity?

SUBLIMA MINI does not require electrical power, but the FEVI 330S compressor requires a 230 V single-phase socket.

How much does the system weigh?

The SUBLIMA MINI weighs approximately 6.5 kg and the compressor approximately 34 kg. The total weight of the two components is therefore approximately 40.5 kg, excluding accessories and dry ice.

Is the compressor silent?

Yes. FEVI 330S is made in a silenced version and is designed to reduce noise compared to a traditional open compressor.

How much dry ice does SUBLIMA MINI use?

The declared consumption is between approximately 6 and 15 kg/h, depending on the pressure and operating conditions.

Can I use the system for continuous industrial work?

The kit is more oriented towards localized interventions and use where compactness and mobility are priorities. For continuous or more demanding jobs, it is advisable to evaluate a compressor with a higher capacity or a superior SUBLIMA model.

Does dry ice leave residue?

Dry ice sublimates and leaves no spent abrasive or water. However, the contaminants removed from the surface remain.
